By registering a child for a DISCOVERING AI camp or youth program, the parent or legal guardian agrees to the following terms.

By registering a minor, you confirm that:

  • You are legally authorized to enroll the child.

  • You have provided accurate emergency contact, medical, allergy, and permission information.

  • You will update DISCOVERING AI promptly if any information changes.

  • You consent to the child’s participation in camp activities, including educational AI activities, group discussions, project work, online learning tools, creative exercises, and supervised use of technology where applicable.

5.2 Camp Eligibility and Age Requirements

Each camp may have specific grade, age, skill level, technology, or readiness requirements. DISCOVERING AI reserves the right to determine whether a participant is appropriately placed in a camp or program.

If a participant is registered for a camp that is not appropriate for their age, maturity, skill level, or needs, DISCOVERING AI may recommend a different program, move the participant to a more suitable session when available, or cancel the registration in accordance with the applicable refund policy.

For in-person camps, parents or guardians are responsible for:

  • Timely drop-off and pick-up.

  • Signing participants in and out where required.

  • Providing accurate emergency contact information.

  • Informing DISCOVERING AI of allergies, medical needs, learning needs, behavioral concerns, or other relevant information.

  • Ensuring the participant brings any required materials, devices, chargers, lunch, snacks, water, or other items specified in the camp instructions.

  • Following location-specific rules, safety procedures, parking instructions, and facility policies.

DISCOVERING AI is not responsible for participants before official check-in or after official check-out unless otherwise stated in writing.

For virtual camps, parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that the participant has:

  • A reliable internet connection.

  • A working device with audio and video capabilities, if required.

  • Access to required software, links, or tools.

  • A safe, appropriate, and reasonably quiet learning environment.

  • Adult supervision appropriate to the participant’s age and maturity.

Virtual camp participants may be asked to keep cameras on for safety, engagement, and participation, subject to program guidance and reasonable accommodations.

Participants may not share camp links, meeting IDs, passwords, recordings, materials, or access credentials with anyone who is not registered for the program.

5.5 Technology and Third-Party Tools

Some camps may use third-party platforms, including video conferencing tools, AI tools, design tools, learning platforms, or collaborative workspaces.

By registering, you acknowledge that:

  • Third-party tools may have their own terms, privacy policies, age restrictions, and account requirements.

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for reviewing and approving their child’s use of third-party tools.

  • DISCOVERING AI is not responsible for third-party platform outages, policy changes, data practices, account restrictions, AI outputs, or technical failures.

  • Alternative activities may be provided when practical if a tool is unavailable or inappropriate for a participant.

5.6 Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully, safely, and appropriately in all DISCOVERING AI camps, workshops, digital spaces, and community settings.

Participants may not:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, exclude, intimidate, or demean others.

DISCOVERING AI may remove a participant from a camp, workshop, or program if the participant’s behavior is unsafe, disruptive, harmful, or inconsistent with these Terms. Refunds are not guaranteed when removal results from a violation of conduct expectations.

5.7 Health, Safety, and Emergency Care

For in-person camps, parents or guardians authorize DISCOVERING AI staff, contractors, volunteers, venue staff, or emergency personnel to take reasonable action in the event of illness, injury, emergency, or safety concern.

This may include:

  • Contacting a parent, guardian, or emergency contact.

  • Administering basic first aid.

  • Contacting emergency medical services.

  • Seeking medical treatment when a parent or guardian cannot be reached and immediate action appears necessary.

Parents or guardians are responsible for any medical costs, emergency transportation costs, or related expenses.

Participants should not attend in-person programs if they are sick, contagious, or unable to participate safely.

5.8 Allergies, Medical Needs, and Accommodations

Parents or guardians must disclose any allergies, medical needs, medication requirements, dietary restrictions, behavioral considerations, learning differences, or accommodations that may affect participation.

DISCOVERING AI will make reasonable efforts to support participants when information is provided in advance. DISCOVERING AI cannot guarantee that every requested accommodation can be provided in every setting.

DISCOVERING AI staff may not administer medication unless expressly agreed in writing and permitted under applicable law and program procedures.

5.9 Assumption of Risk

Participation in in-person and virtual programs involves certain risks. These may include technology issues, online interaction risks, physical activity risks, transportation-related risks, allergic reactions, illness, emotional discomfort, group participation challenges, and other ordinary risks associated with educational programs for minors.

By registering, parents or guardians acknowledge and accept these risks on behalf of themselves and the participating child.

5.10 Media, Photos, Recordings, and Participant Work

DISCOVERING AI may photograph, record, or capture portions of camps, workshops, virtual sessions, projects, or participant work for educational, safety, quality, archival, promotional, or training purposes, subject to the permissions selected during registration.

Parents or guardians may be asked to provide separate media consent. If media consent is not provided, DISCOVERING AI will make reasonable efforts not to use identifiable images, video, or names of the participant in public promotional materials.

Participants and families may not record, screenshot, photograph, or distribute images, video, chat, or content from camp sessions without prior written permission from DISCOVERING AI and any individuals shown or identified.

5.11 Camp Projects and Student Work

Participants may create written work, AI-assisted projects, images, presentations, business ideas, designs, prompts, or other creative outputs during camps.

Participants retain ownership of their original work. DISCOVERING AI may use de-identified or permissioned examples of student work for educational, research, program improvement, or promotional purposes, consistent with applicable consent choices.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that any content they submit or create does not violate copyright, privacy, platform rules, school rules, or the rights of others.

5.12 Schedule Changes, Substitutions, and Cancellations

DISCOVERING AI reserves the right to modify camp schedules, instructors, curriculum, locations, session formats, tools, or activities when necessary due to enrollment, staffing, weather, safety, facility, technology, or operational considerations.

If DISCOVERING AI cancels a camp, families may be offered a refund, credit, transfer, or alternative program, depending on the circumstances and the applicable registration terms.

If a camp must shift from in-person to virtual due to safety, facility, public health, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, DISCOVERING AI will notify families as soon as reasonably practical.

5.13 Refunds, Transfers, and Missed Sessions

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Registration fees are due according to the payment terms shown at checkout.

  • Transfers to another session may be permitted when space is available.

  • Processing fees, materials fees, venue fees, or third-party platform fees may be non-refundable.

  • DISCOVERING AI may set different refund deadlines for in-person camps, virtual camps, workshops, and special events.

Program-specific refund terms provided during registration will control if they differ from this general policy.
